What We Believe
We, the members of Walk In Truth Ministries, believe that the Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. The scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and how we are to conduct ourselves as Christians.
We believe that there is but One God, One Faith and One Baptism. The one true God has revealed Himself as “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth, and the Redeemer of mankind. He embodies the relational principles of Father, Son and Holy Ghost, most commonly referred to as the Trinity.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin mother, lived a sinless life, and performed many miracles during His time on earth. Jesus died, was buried, and arose from the dead that we might be saved from the penalty of our sins. He is now and forevermore seated at the right hand of God the Father.
We believe that salvation is obtained through the belief that God raised Jesus from the dead and the confession of our faith in this occurrence. It is upon this confession that we are filled with the indwelling of the Holy Ghost, which causes us to grow into the likeness of Christ, grants us the power to live a godly life, and to bear witness to others of Jesus Christ. The baptism of the Holy Ghost brings such experiences as an overflowing fullness of the Spirit, a deepened reverence for God, an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work, and a more active love for Christ, for His Word, and for the lost.
We believe that following salvation brings about sanctification. Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God. By the power of the Holy Ghost we are able to be holy, as Christ is holy.
Our Mission
Walk In Truth Ministries is committed to fulfilling God’s purpose toward man, which is to seek and to save the lost, to be worshippers and to build a body of believers in the image of His Son Jesus. Therefore, our mission is to:
Be an agency of God for evangelizing the world. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (Matthew 28:19)
Be a corporate body in which man may worship God. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body–whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free–and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. (1 Corinthians 12:13)
Be a channel of God’s purpose to build a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son. So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:11-16)
Our History
Walk In Truth Ministries (WITM) was founded by Pastor Tracy Edmond Sr. in May of 2006. The purpose of the ministry is to offer salvation to those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Outreach and winning lost souls are the primary goals.
The founding Leadership Team for the Church consisted of Pastor Tracy Edmond Sr., Reverend Betty Lott, Minister Darren Dillard, Evangelist Jacqueline Dillard, and Evangelist Linda Gardner.
The journey to finding a permanent home for WITM has been tireless through the years.
WITM exemplifies thousands of small to mid-size churches across the country who understand the challenges of committing to God’s Will while serving the people and community in which in it exist.
